Across the healthcare sector, the amount of knowledge doubles every few years, making it imperative for clinicians to keep themselves current. They must be confident in what they know and, equally important, recognize what they don’t know. Otherwise, clinicians could be “unconsciously incompetent” in certain areas—meaning, they believe that they know something but, in fact, do not.
